16 Days of Activism 2025 – Events and Activities

DVSM are pleased to share a selection of events and activities taking place across New South Wales as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2025.

This global campaign, held from 25 November to 10 December each year, brings together communities, organisations, and individuals to take meaningful action toward ending gender-based violence in all its forms.

This year’s specific campaign theme, UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls, highlights the urgent need to address online abuse,

harassment, and technology-facilitated violence. As our lives become increasingly digital, ensuring safety, respect, and equality in online spaces is more important than ever.

The global UN theme, Orange the World, calls on us to stand in solidarity, raise awareness, and advocate for a brighter future free from violence.

The colour orange symbolises hope and collective action—reminding us that change is possible when we unite.

The following attachment outlines some NSW-based initiatives designed to inspire participation, strengthen community engagement, and support ongoing efforts to end gender-based violence—both online and offline.

We invite you to explore these activities and join the movement toward a safer, more inclusive future for all.
