Today is Harmony Day – a day to celebrate diversity and a reminder to appreciate everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Harmony Day is all about loving and understanding different cultures and ways of life, and seeing how they can fit together. A day to unite cultures.
Our culturally diverse society is one of our nation’s greatest achievements. While this can and should be celebrated every single day, Harmony Day, and Harmony Week provides the opportunity to reflect on what brings us together, and our unique Australian identity.

Take some time out to think, talk about and recognise how our differences and our similarities make Australia a great place to live.

Being included, and a sense of belonging, feel right.
When we embrace equity, we embrace diversity, and we embrace inclusion.
We embrace equity to forge harmony and unity, and to help drive success for all.
Equality is the goal, and equity is the means to get there.
Through the process of equity, we can reach equality.
DVSM commit to embracing equity across our services, in our teams, with our clients and our partners.

Each one of us can actively support and embrace equity within our own sphere of influence.
We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion.
Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity.
Forging gender equity isn't limited to women solely fighting the good fight. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

The IWD 2023 campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity.

Equity isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have.
A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society's DNA.
And it's critical to understand the difference between equity and equality.
DVSM are proud to join the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.

All International Women’s Day activity is valid – we can all fight the good fight: https://www.internationalwomensday.com/Missions/18738/Collectively-we-can-all-fight-the-good-fight
